Ceremonies
...it's all about love...
Weddings
Organising a wedding can be challenging and I am here to support and advise you in every way I can, for a truly wonderful and memorable ceremony.
I offer a no obligation initial consultation, either by zoom, in my cosy consulting room or wherever you prefer to meet, I’m completely flexible. If I am to be your ‘célébrant de choix’, I want to get to know you and your deepest wishes, so we will meet at least twice before your big day and I will work together with you to ensure that I craft the most personal, meaningful ceremony that fulfils every aspect of the ceremony you envisage. There will also be a rehearsal at the venue in the days just prior to your special day.
You will receive a beautiful keepsake copy of your ceremony, something to treasure for life.
Whether you are local or have chosen the islands for your wedding location, there is some great information about your options for locations, accommodation for visitors etc. at Visit Guernsey

Funerals / Celebration of Life / Memorials
Losing a loved one is a very emotional and sensitive time, when families need great compassion and care. I will meet with you in your home and will spend as much time as needed to ensure that I craft a beautiful, meaningful ceremony that celebrates and positively reflects the life of your loved one that brings comfort to all.
There are no legalities for a civil funeral/celebration of life ceremony, it can be exactly what you desire for your loved one and can include both religious/spiritual and non religious content.
If a burial or interment has already taken place and a memorial ceremony is required, I will meet with you to create a ceremony that reflects the life of the deceased, in tribute and celebration.
Renewal of Vows / Affirmations
What better way to celebrate a milestone of your marriage or simply to affirm your continuing commitment to each other! There are no legal requirements for these ceremonies, so you can choose to either renew your original vows or write new ones. Family and friends can be involved, anything goes! Whatever your wishes for your ceremony, I will work together with you to craft a perfect, joyous occasion.
Namings / Welcomings
As an alternative to the traditional Christening, naming ceremonies are a wonderful opportunity to welcome your little one to the world, your family and friends. There are no age limits on when you can do this and the ceremony can take place anywhere at any time. I will meet with you to discuss your wishes to ensure a unique and personal ceremony.
Elopement Weddings
Elopement weddings are becoming more popular with couples these days. Elopement was typically thought of as running away without telling friends or family, but that definition has changed more recently and now, an elopement wedding means that couples choose to have a small, intimate ceremony, maybe with just themselves and a few close guests at a fitting location and then perhaps a party on their return.
Guernsey and it’s surrounding islands, Herm, Sark and Alderney are the perfect setting for or any type of ceremony. You are spoilt for choice with its many stunning beaches, castle, historical buildings, beautiful hotel locations and pretty countryside. As a civil celebrant of the bailiwick and being authorised by the Royal Court, I’m qualified to conduct the legal part of the marriage for locals and visitors alike, so there’s no need to have a separate registry office ceremony if you are planning to come from the UK or overseas.
You will need to apply for a marriage license and you can find out more on the gov.gg website in the link below
